Immigration Matters

Foreign matters usually relate to decisions issued by the police (Poliisi) or the immigration office (Migri). These decisions can be appealed via the Administrative Court or the High Administrative Court. Please be aware that in most cases, appeals must be filed within 30 days of the date you received the decision.

In cases where a deportation order has been issued, we can apply to the Administrative Court to have the decision revoked and the deportation process halted until a final decision has been reached. If this is approved, you will have the right to remain in Finland for the duration of the appeal process.

Should the Administrative Court appeal be unsuccessful, we can take things one step further by making a request to the High Administrative Court to file a further appeal. Any decision resulting from this will be final.
